IRDP assists countries with emerging nuclear power programs to establish regulatory agencies capable of licensing and oversight of new reactors. The program works with agencies to develop country-specific Regulatory Development Plans, Regulatory Infrastructure, and Regulatory Programs.

The NRC-sponsored program assists regulatory authorities to establish long term regulatory control over safe and secure use of radiation sources in a manner consistent with the IAEA Code of Conduct.

AdSTM assists Jordan Environment and Mineral Regulatory Commission (EMRC) by providing design licensing reviews and construction and vendor inspection for all phases on the research and training reactor development.
